I read your application... I laughed. Especially at the comments.

Goth_macros was ok, but your answers weren't? Pfft, pfft and pfft once more!!

I get the feeling some of these people take themselves far too seriously. And the maintainer had a selling post on the community, which made me say, "Eh??" I've... clearly missed the point of the community.

hehehehe Its all a bit confusing. The community info said make the applications funny, so I wrote a funny application, and now people are complaining that it wasn't a serious application. *cackle*

Some people *do* take themselves too seriously - fortunately there is no requirement to reciprocate. I imagine my ancient application would elicit similar responses now.

I have one simple criteria when reading an application: Would I enjoy drinking with this person?

As the maintainer of said community..I did create it with humor in mind...(and I was probably drinking when I made it years ago as well)...and with that said..I run the darned place so I can advertise my wares whenever I like... :)

we don't discourage sales posts...unless you are selling something that would never interest the community...and what can I say..since I created it I take lots of liberties with it..but all in all it's a fun place and has entertained me over the years, even if sometimes people on there do take themselves too seriously I think they still realize it's all in good fun.

Sometimes, we're not sure what face to put on. Sometimes the community is a bit overprotective about aesthetics but sometimes it takes a little ground-shaking for them to realize, this is supposed to be a fun lifestyle too! If you can't make fun yourself, then we're just as bad as the rest of the narrow-minded shut ins!

Just be yourself, take it with a grain of salt and you'll fly! It's why I voted yes!

hehe thanks. I appreciate the internet is partly populated by trolls and weirdo's. And although I probably may tick some of the boxes for door number 2, I'm definitely not behind door 1. :)
